Did you know you can view detailed payment information directly in the journal when using CAMT files in Business Central? It makes it much easier to manage incoming customer payments – even when something doesn’t match up.
Camt053 and Camt054 – what happens when something doesn’t match?
If a payment in the file can’t be matched to open customer invoices, you’ll get a clear error message in the journal:
- The “Account No.” and “Applies-to Doc. No.” fields will be empty
- A message in red text will appear in the Description field
Here's how to handle it
Use the “Show Line Entries” action to see the exact details from the Camt file. That way, you can adjust the line manually – quickly and easily.
